Backed-up lines, failed pumps, broken lids and damaged pipe. We fix what we find or point you to who can.
When a system backs up, the first job is working out what actually failed. Plenty of what gets called a failed field turns out to be a plugged filter, a collapsed line, a pump that quit or a broken lid letting a winter of surface water in.
We start by pumping the tank down so there's something to look at, then work back through the system until the cause turns up.
What the job includes
Backups and blockages
We clear the line and pump the tank down so the house is usable again while we sort out what caused it in the first place.
Lids, risers and broken access
Cracked concrete lids, split plastic lids and sunken access replaced and sealed. That's a safety problem as much as a septic one.
Pumps, floats and alarms
Failed effluent pumps and stuck floats diagnosed and replaced so the system moves water again.
Damaged pipe and baffles
Crushed or separated pipe between the house and the tank, plus broken inlet and outlet baffles. Baffles are the quiet cause of a lot of field failures.

Septic repairs questions
My septic is backing up right now. What should I do?
Stop running water and call 250-938-2093. No laundry or dishwasher, and keep flushing to a minimum. Cutting the load buys time and stops the backup getting worse while we get to you.
Is it my tank or my field?
More often the tank, or something between the tank and the house. We pump down and work back through the system, and a good share of the time it turns out to be a filter, a line or a pump rather than the field itself. A visit is the only way to know for certain, and it's a much cheaper answer than assuming the worst.
Do you do full system replacements?
No. We handle pumping, servicing and the repairs listed on this page. If what you need is a new field or a full install, we'll say so up front and point you to who does that work.
How fast can you get here?
Call or text and you'll get a real answer about where you sit in the schedule. Genuine backups get moved up the list, because we live here too and we know what a house you can't use is like.
